This module offers a composite video output to the Sinclair computers ZX81 or ZX80 and gives a clear and crispy video signal in comparison to the weak TV output. You can see the difference in the pictures comparing the unsharp and dark picture over the TV modulator and below the composite picture with sharpness and clear contures with a clear white background missing the typical vertical stripes between the chars. This can not be achieved with simple transistor solutions (emitter follower).
The module is completely assembled with SMD components and only 25 x 20 x 5 mm. Only a few cables have to be soldered to 3 solder joints on the mainboard. The module can be fixed easily within the case inside or (experienced users only) in the modulator case while removing it's content first. You may need a RCA connector or similar for connecting to your TV (Video in or AV in). An additional jumper allows the picture to be inverted (white chars on black screen instead of black chars on white screen).
